Welcome to my studio! I’m Rena Tucker, an art teacher and professional artist for over 20 years. My specialty is realism and stylized realism, but my true passion is sharing the joy of art with both kids and adults. I believe that creating art should be a fun, casual experience where everyone feels comfortable, inspired, and capable of making something AWESOME.
Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.

Over the years, I’ve had the honor and pleasure of working as a commissioned portrait painter, creating detailed, photoreal and expressive artworks for clients. But, what truly lights me up is teaching. I’ve been guiding beginner and intermediate artists for over two decades, helping them unleash their creativity and build confidence with every mark of the pencil and stroke of the brush.

I have a superpower: Making art fun, casual, and unintimidating! Whether I’m teaching kids or adults, I break down complex images and techniques into easy, step-by-step lessons that anyone can follow.
I believe that every mistake is a chance to learn and grow, and I encourage my students to embrace the creative process with courage and grace. The best part? My students constantly surprise themselves with the incredible artworks they create!
I offer a variety of online art programs ranging from video lessons for kids aged 5-10 that explore nature and wildlife, to specialized courses for adults, like pet portraits and large-scale floral paintings.
My lessons are perfect for homeschool families, adventurous RV travelers, or anyone looking for a creative outlet that fits into their lifestyle.
